Choice of language
As I sort of touched on before in another “just for fun”, why does Jacob and his BFF speak such modern English? These two fellas might have been around for many ages, they might actually be from the distant future for all we know, and yet they converse with each other in today’s style. What if this is a subtle hint that they both are originally from our time period, or maybe from within a few decades or so in the future.
One might say, “C’mon Chief, the writers were only trying to make things easier for the audience to understand, that’s why they spoke English to each other on the beach.” That’s when I start laughing hysterically and reply “Are you kidding!?!? Have you seen one episode of this show that was easy to understand?, the writers have no shame in making show comprehension difficult for us.” I’m a firm believer that everything in this show happens for a reason. The writers know how it ends, so they write the script accordingly. When Jacob knows many languages, he speaks English on the beach as if it’s his preferred language, the writers wouldn’t just randomly have him speak any language when they know Jacob’s origin. Assuming that Jacob is from America (he didn’t have an accent) and from our time period, wouldn’t that mean that he has a very serious connection with one or some of the losties that he didn’t have with any other civilization that previously lived on the island? It shows us that the survivors of the crash probably aren’t just another random group of people for Jacob to experiment with, but were brought to the island to really accomplish something huge, like end the island’s time loop.

If that’s enough to make you say he’s american, I got news for you he’s korean!!! he speaks perfect korean!!!
Unless you’re saying MIB only speaks English, Jacob clearly CHOSE to speak English on the beach, yes he speaks perfect Korean….Spanish, Chinese, Porteguese, Latin, German, or whatever he wants to speak as he’s been around forever, but I think there’s a reason he’s speaking English.
