Adam & Eve
Ok, im new to this site but just from scanning a couple of pages, i know theres a lot of Adam and Eve theories. I dont know if this one has been said yet so im sorry if it has.
I think possibly Adam and Eve could be Karl and Rousseau. I know this seems pretty out there but bare with me a moment.
When walking through the jungle, Miles walks over their VERY shallow graves along with Sawyer and Claire. Claire gets creeped out and scared and wants to leave so they walk away and thats the last we hear of them.
Right so time passes, they time travel, they stop etc etc. They are wandering through the jungle (before they find Amy) and they come across these graves again. I assume the graves weren’t too far from the caves/beach because after Miles and Sawyer took camp it didnt take long to get back.
At this point im guessing that for some reason Karl and Rousseau traveled through time aswel, maybe because they were killed before the time flashes started?
Anyway, as we know, Sawyer liked Karl and he seemed pretty upset to discover his body, so out of respect for Karl, instead of leaving him in the grave, he takes him to the caves and lays him to rest. I would think they’d take Rousseau aswel (it would be a bit unkind to leave her behind).
As we’ve seen from past episodes, Karl wears old, torn clothes so in 2004 they could easily be 50 years old or mistaken to be. Rousseau had already been on the island for 16 years so her clothes are going to be very old too, and when Jack was examining the bodies, he didnt specify the ages of each of them, so for all we know Adam could be 16 and Eve could be 40. As for the stones, Karl and Alex did a lot of sweet things together so maybe those stones represented something between them, i dont know.
Anyway i know this theory is a little (well, a lot) out there but i think its worth being considered. thanks for reading and i would love to hear what you think 🙂

Original thought! I give you props for that. I think the “old clothing” idea is really interesting. Also – if John hadn’t called them Adam and Eve – we would probably be more open to the idea that they might not have been lovers but instead just friends.
Perhaps we’ll see Karl or Rousseau getting the stones then.
By the way, what happened to Alex’ body?
i really have no idea what happened to Alex but i cant see Ben just leaving her body in the barracks.. maybe he buried her somewhere..? who knows!?
The shallow graves, I believe, were army men who were killed by the others. I think that’s what Miles said.
I don’t remember another shallow grave during the time skips.
