Does anyone here watch Fringe? (100% unrelated to Lost…)(Fringe Spoiler in question for those who have not seen it))

I have a question regarding the show, and do not play on other sites like this…

  1. I watch Fringe. It took a few episodes for me to really get into it, but once I did I really looked forward to each episode. I think the Season One finale was spectacular.

I don’t want to say too much about it incase people haven’t seen it and don’t want to be spoilt.

Bailey, I’d watch a few more episodes – it gets better 🙂

    What’s your question A.E.S?

  2. The first episode was the worst…I guess right now I can say that if you havent watched it, my question will be a spoiler.

    Uhhhh, the show itself improved.
I saw the first few episodes, and like you Bailey, was not impressed.
Then I decided to just go with he flow, and watch the entire season…I wouldnt say I fell in love…maybe a crush…

I dont NEED it like I need Lost, but I played catch up and when I finally get caught up…this past Monday…they pulled the rug out from under me on something.

The finale of season one and the premiere of season two are amazing episodes.

Its a JJ show, which makes it decent…not that all from him is…

    The show has real potential.
I kind of bought into the characters, which in turn drew me in.

I reccomend giving it an opportunity, but I would have to say that you have to make it to the end of season one to really become attatched…its not Lost…just keep reminding yourself of that.

  3. I’ve seen some of Season 2. I can’t remember how many episodes exactly, but just before Christmas it was taken off air (I assume there was a break in the US? I’m in the UK).

If the past Mondays episode was a new one from Season 2 then I probably haven’t seen it.

I’m not sure when the UK will have it back on air, but I think it was only a couple of episodes behind, so hopefully in a couple of weeks I might be able to answer your question 😉

  4. From what I heard regarding Monday’s episode, they played an old episode that never previously aired, and didn’t do a very good job of letting the viewers know about it. I guess Charlie (Fringe Charlie) was in it.

I agree with all of you, the pilot episode was junk. Actually, the first 7 episodes of the first season were junk. Then it got extremely interesting, and the first season ended with quite a bang (in my opinion). Then I lost interest again and now I only watch sports, Breaking Bad, and LOST when these shows start up again.

I guess when you like LOST, everything else sucks.

  5. Hey Chief. Did you see the episode in question?

I’m just wondering whether it’s supposed to be mixed up with the Season 2 episodes, or whether they just thought they’d show it for the fun of it?

It would certainly be confusing if Charlie was in it and no one knew it was a S1 episode.

  6. Agreed Chief…yeah, you answered my question…sort of…

My cable box description gave the episode a “new” rating and my DVR only records new episodes…

Funny thing though, many of the fringe sites have no say in whether its old and unreleased, or “something else”…

I was just making sure that I am not going crazy by seeing Charlie and nobody really caring about the dead guy walking around…

  7. I was just looking on and some people on the forum are saying that it was a standalone episode and not supposed to flow with Season 2, yet the episode guide for Season 2 has this episode in it.

I guess I won’t know for sure until I see it (if it will actually be aired over here).

Did it seem to mix in with Season 2 (except for zombie Charlie)??

  8. Yeah, I checked itunes for an answer.

they list it with season 2,but as episode 22…there are only 10 other episodes thusfar…no Bill Bell shout out in episode, which makes me think it very well may be unaired and old…but then, the way Walter is treated led me to think even during the show that it was new.
(he was allowed more freedom as was in the end of s1, beginning of s2)…

I appreciate the comments, and hopefully tonight will give us either an answer, or well…honestly, in a little less than 3 weeks….I really wont care…

  9. I watch Fringe, but not faithfully…

Did you read the Fox Press Release for this episode in question? Seems to me that they may have intentionally wanted this episode to cause some confusion…

After a teenage girl is pronounced brain dead, her mother takes her off life support, but when doctors operate quickly to remove her organs, the deceased girl shockingly awakens screaming an alphanumeric code. Equally as perplexing as her resurrection is that she is now somehow able to speak Russian and possesses classified information only a high-ranking soldier would know. While the girl’s mind-bending condition intensifies, Walter dusts off some old lab videos and hypothesizes the unthinkable, sending Olivia and Peter to investigate the bewildering case in an original “Unearthed” episode of FRINGE and here’s another mystery: is it an unaired episode from Season One or is it from an alternate universe? airing Monday, Jan. 11 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (FRINGE-121) (TV-14 L, V)

Cast: Anna Torv as Olivia Dunham; Joshua Jackson as Peter Bishop; John Noble as Walter Bishop; Lance Reddick as Phillip Broyles; Kirk Acevedo as Charlie Francis; Blair Brown as Nina Sharp; Jasika Nicole as Astrid Farnsworth.

  10. I also watch Fringe, its entertaining enough, but pales in comparison to lost in every way. I do like that apart from the overall arc, each episode is a self contained story.

I’ve watched every episode except the one in question after i read that it was a previously unaired season 1 episode, i skipped it.

I was planning to watch the latest episode today, but do you think that previously unaired one was played for a reason? would it be worth me watching that one first?

Talking of Fringe, seeing as its a JJ Abrams created show, i reckon some of the scientific themes in that will be similar to where lost is going.
