Interesting Advert. Character Run-down – spoiler?
I saw this in this weeks (?) People at the dentist today. “Jen Aniston 5 yrs. after Brad” cover.
They have an insert to update people on what Lost is all about. One page has the major characters. Most were expected: Jack: Man of Science, John: Man of Fate … but there were 5 that caught my eye. (I’ve ordered to protect those who want no hint of spoilers).
Man in Black: Jacob’s Nemesis
Jacob: Hand of Fate
Ilana: Protector
Hurley: Lucky Charm
Desmond: Wild Card
Maybe not. I’ve been thinking about this since reading some recent posts.
What if everything IS course correcting.
Des CAN (and did) change WHH. Now it needs to be fixed. He needs to keep pressing that button. The plane lands.
They’re trying to find out exactly what caused the butterfly effect by recreating step by step until there’s a course correction. (Everything else is progress towards this.)
“This is the first time in a long time I haven’t known what happens next” because this is the point where something else is done – and, perhaps, where the journal ends due to Daniel’s death.
And, it’s important because they’re saving the world. If it doesn’t work, then “God help us all.”
So, Des is VERY impt in saving the world, our losties, and progressing the story to which we are all addicted.

Ilana as ‘the Protector’ … of what?
I was reading in a soap magazine earlier about Lost and how it will be explaining ‘everything’ (thats the word it used but god knows how accurate that is) from previous seasons. Later on in the day i seen the Lost promo, and my eyes were fixed to the TV for about 15 mins afterwards.. I dont watch much TV so this was extremely exciting haha.
On a completely separate note I wish Jen and Brad would get back together!
