I know, it’s crazy…but Aliens?

What if the “home” that Smokie was talking about is not on this planet. If LOST is Length of Space Time, could it be possible that Jacob and Smokie were traveling through space and somehow ended on on this Earth, and more specifically, on the island?

What if the gigantic energy field in the core of the island that Dharma was trying to mine was actually brought to the island by Aliens? Maybe its their modes of transportation and they are stranded there themselves. This could tie into the whole “Aliens helped build the pyramids” theory out there, since clearly, Jacob has a lot of Egyptian culture in his quarters.

So, my (stream of consciousness) theory is that Jacob and Smokie got lost while on some crazy expedition thousands of years ago through Space and landed on the island (or maybe the Island is their space ship, who knows). Like Locke and Jack, one wants to stay on the island because they feel that they serve a greater purpose (Jacob) and one wants to leave and go home (Smokie).

Perhaps because these aliens can change form, duplicate people’s body’s, access their memories, and most likely, have the ability see into and travel to any point in time, Jacob feels that he was sent to Earth to save everyone from some giant catastrophe. Smokie, may simply want to go home; trying his hardest to foil every one of Jacob’s plans throughout time and finally, killing him in hopes of leaving the island once and for all.

The reference to Alpert being in chains, I believe, is from when Jacob and Smokie were helping Egyptians (in one form or another), and Alpert may have been an Egyptian slave that Jacob decided to help and become his right hand man.

As for the alternate time line aspect, I love it. I think its going to ultimately show that Jacob was right and needed the Losties to stay on the island and help do, whatever it is that he’s been trying to do for centuries.
