The Two Timelines

ok so after watching LA X we now know that there are two timelines that appear to be occuring simultaneously. There is the 2007 timeline where jacob has just been killed and everything seems to be basically just like we have seen for the past five seasons. However there is also what i like to call the new 2004 timeline. I call it the new timeline bc even though some things are the same as the original 2004, there were a lot of things that were different too. I think that is evident in the title of the episode alone. I think by making it LA X instead of LAX the writers are saying “check it out everything isnt as it seems”. In the new 2004 it would appear that some things are still the same, sayid’s story seemed intact and so did sun and Jin’s (although i wasnt entirely convinced that sun still spoke english), Jack and Locke’s stories seem the same too (but that cut on jack’s neck is pissing me off, what does it mean?)
The things that are different in the new 2004 are that shannon wasnt on the plane, hurley says he has good luck, desmond is on the plane and the island is underwater. Now I think that the entire reason that anything is different in this 2004 is bc the island sunk in 1977. Since the island sunk in 1977, that means that everyone who we know came to the island after 1977 (rousseau, desmond, juliet, yemi…) never ended up going to the island. So they are all living there lives in the way that they would have had they never ended up on the island. So that is why i think Mr. Eko wasnt on the plane (bc if yemi never crashed on the island then Eko is probably still a druglord in his country) and libby wasnt on the plane either. I think that the reason desmond was on the plane is bc he fell in love with libby in australia. Without the island pulling him i think desmond probably ended up staying in australia and living with libby. A bit of a stretch i know but i dont care lol. Also if the man that originally gave hurley the numbers in the nut house never went to the island bc it was underwater, then hurley probably won the lottery with regular numbers so he considers himself good luck.
Now I think that the whole season will be the Losties in the 2007 timeline trying to get back to the new 2004 timeline. Juliet in my opinion is already there since we saw her say to someone “want to grab some coffee sometime”. I think she just saw sawyer in 2004. Anyways i know this is all over the place but i hope someone can see something that makes sense and apply it in a way i never thought of. Now lets hear some feedback. 🙂
