Altenate Jack – the same things again?

I thought it was intersting that in the alternate timeline Jack meets desmond, the fact that desmond is even on the plane is a little too coincidental. Then Jack saves Charlies life on the plane, because on the island Jack saved Charlies life after the others hung him. Then Jacks dad’s body is lost at the airport, just like his dads body goes missing on the island.

is it possible that even if you create a tangent reality, similar events will still occur? Will this eventually lead Jack back to the island? maybe even if you change something in your past, you’ll still be lead to the same destiny. All roads lead to Rome as they say.

  1. Yes, I think that is what’s going to happen. After all, Eloise Hawking has said already that fate will course-correct things if you try to do them differently.

  2. i thought it was interesting how kate bumped into jack and took his pen and later jack was going to use his pen to open charlie’s throat but because kate took it he just had to try harder to dislodge the bag from his mouth and was able to save him easily. had the pen stayed on him he might have opened charlie’s throat and that could have killed him, or certainly changed the course of events.

  3. my opionion of the alternate timeline is that it is showing us that very similar events would have happened on or off the island irrespective of where somebody is.

Evidence, as you’ve said, is Jack saves Charlie life, Kate escapes her marshall and Kate is there when Claire goes into labour. im sure that we’ll see msny other things like this too in the alternate timeline.
