Four-toed statue: continuity error or subtle hint?
I’ve read in another website that the foot of the four-toed statue shown in the Fake Locke time is different than those shown in both the last episode of Season 2 and at the bottom of the sea in the first episode of Season 6.
The four-toed statue in Season 2 is its left foot: http://decabo.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/05/foot-statue.jpg
The underwater four-toed statue in Season 6 also is its left foot:
The four-toed statue in Seasons 5 and 6, however, is its right foot: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_D38eBGiDXzQ/SgwQeUII_gI/AAAAAAAAB2M/FeU8kOiDI8k/s1600-h/4+toed+statue+present.jpg
There are various possibilities:
1) It’s just a continuity error.
2) There are actually two statues: one with everything but its left foot missing and another one with everything but its right foot missing.
3) There’s only one statue, but different feet remain in different timelines.
What do you think?

This topic was kind of posted already, you can check it out here: http://www.theoriesonlost.com/2010/01/tawerets-foot-first-sighting-vs-recent/
But what’s new in your thread is how the underwater foot is like the one we saw in the earlier season. I think it’s different timeline. “course correction” caused both statues to crumble, but with different outcome (right instead of left). OR its an error lol.
I could be very wrong, but I’m pretty sure that the foot we see in seasons 5 and 6 is a left foot. It’s always been a left foot.
