Time Skipping Losties
I know that time travel is over for this season, and that this issue is somehow past tense by now. But there are few things in Lost that I have not deduced from the data availabe to us, and this one is really pissing me off if it has not been answered; at least if it has not been somehow answered with clues:
Does anyone know why were those who time skipped, only those, and not for example the Others also?
I can begin to debate on thoughts of this if anyone contributes to the question….I had a really big train of thought on this, so bring it on, I have plenty on responses on posible scenarios on why I think. The thing is that I have not reached a concencus on my thoughts, as every posible explanation I try to give it, does not apply to be self consistent.
I think thats yet to be explained the group that skipped through time also seem to be the group thats important to Jacob. Its obdviously important or they woulda wrapped up that explanation last season? bahh i dunno lol
I thought of the possibility of that too. It would seem probable that those important to Jacob skipped through time. But how did Jacob do this to them?
I will be really pissed off if they do not answer this on season 6…and I have a feeling that they won’t (cuz Darlton told on interviews that season 6 is over with time travel stuff…).
“The island is always moving in time”
The people who skipped through time were the people who were on the island at the time of Ben moving the wheel (conveniently decreased in number by flaming arrows. The temple may be a ‘safe’ zone – Ben said something about that at end of season 3 when he told Richard to take everyone to the temple.)
John, Sayid, Jack, and Kate all ‘disappeared’ and sent back to ’77 (where ben was). Everyone else stayed in ’07 … yet to understand why Sun didn’t ‘pop’. She, Lapedius, Ben, etc. LANDED.
Thinks Ben is the ‘magnet’ that brings everyone to ’07, btw.
waycurious, I had thought of that already. If you say that the ones who kept skipping in time were the ones that were on the island when Ben turned the FDW, then what about Richard and the Others that were with him at the time of this? They were not inside the Temple, they were next to Locke (who then starts to jump in time, and is told by Richard that it was him that disapeared, not them, the Others I mean).
It has to be something else.
What if exposure to the spring is what ties you to the island (keeps you in time). As you become an other (an initiated other, I don’t think Juliet was every really truely one) you drink from the spring, not enough to make you ageless, just enough to keep you in the right time.
