Why Sawyer could see ‘the blonde kid’

This is not a theory, just a thought i had today.

As we saw in the last episode, Flocke and Sawyer saw a strange blonde kid in the jungle and flocke seemed to be surprised that Sawyer could see him.

I remembered back in season 3, Locke was ‘tested’ for the position of leader of the others, and was told he had to kill his father who was brought to the island, but it was Sawyer who did the deed. I always thought there would be some consequences because of this, could this have something to do with it? Maybe Sawyer is more important to MIBs plans than MIB realizes.

Just an idea, for all we know next week we’ll see that all the losties have the ability to see ‘the blonde kid’. Anyway, what do you think?

I'm a hiphop producer from London, and obviously a huge fan of Lost. Its a bit of a love/hate thing as its made me cynical of all other TV shows (Heroes being one of the most overrated poorly written shows i've seen). Never been into much big american TV drama or Sci-fi, more into british comedy, but Lost has been amazing, and i really hope it continues that awesomeness in its final season. I'm usually pretty good at predicting the end of a story which can annoy people around me, but this show is so intricately constructed, even in its 2nd to last season, i still don't have a clue. I'm trying my best though.

  1. Yeah there could be something there it didnt seem like Richard could see the boy right? I cant remember.

Everyone says the kids Jacob, im still not convinced, he appears RIGHT after Flocke says “i know what its like to lose someone special to me” (or something along those lines), i see a real fear in Flocke when he sees the kid, he has never had that kind of fear seeing Jacob before..so im not totally convinced its Jacob not yet not until someone calls that kid Jacob by name in Lost LOL..

  2. I like it – for I too had trouble letting that go – Sawyer doing Lockes work. I still have faith in John, if anyone’s a hero, it’s him. For the greater good(or so he though) he was actually willing to take his own life. And though it killed me to see him(His body anyway)getting buried that really messed up my hopes of seeing him opening his eyes. But it’s Lost, we never know until we know – and most often – not even THEN!
But yeah, Sawyer could definetely be a REAL candidate. After all, Richard said that their training began at a very young age – when Richard is indeed visting young John, isn’t he about the same age as Young Sawyer? ANd who’s to say that Jacob and his visits/touch – that accordingly to Nemesis set him down a path that lead him here(I think we all can agree Jacobs visit did just that) What if that journey was a test? I know that he didn’t visit all in their childhood(Hurley even right before Ajira) that that probably shots it down, I sonät know. What do you think?

  3. Did anyone elses heart break in Lockes alternate timeline and he just accepted his life in a wheelchair, gave up on miracles and destinty 🙁 i felt sooo sad for him

  4. Thanks for the comments,

I just wrote another theory that involves other people often doing Lockes work for him and failing every ‘test’ he was given for the position of leader of the others.
Could it be possible that Locke is not he great one the others were looking for, and somebody else is?

  5. I just realized what i’ve written up there might be a little misleading.

I didn’t mean theres a direct link between Sawyer seeing ‘the blonde kid’ and him killing Anthony Cooper, but that him killing Cooper instead of Locke might be of some importance to Sawyers upcoming ‘role’ in whatevers happening.

  6. Jenius.. yes, I felt that as well. But remember, that acceptance from John was (as indicated by his knives arriving in the case from the airport) just days after the plane landed. On the island, it took him a while, even as he could walk again, to fully accept his miracle. He struggled back and forth, as he almost couldn’t walk again when Boone died, and again was crushed by the blast door.. Like Sawyer says in “The Incident”, “a man does what he can until his destiny is revealed to him”. Give John (in the ATL) some time to find his destiny. It will surely be slower in Los Angeles than it was on the island..

  7. I think that what we’re seeing now in the 2004 flash sideways (as everyone is calling it) will turn out to be the new past that brought them to the 2007 present that we’re seeing now. I think time was reset, they still got there, just a different past.
