The Black Rock & Juliette
In the Incident, there are two prominant rocks near Juliette. Black and White. She chose the Black Rock. (thought that could be lighting, other times – of the zillions they’ve shown it it looks black/white).
Flocke casts the white to the water, to rest w/Juliette’s ring, leaving … the Black Rock.
And of course we have the ship.
What could this all mean. (Would things have changed had she used the white rock?)
Just wondering.

Are you referring to when she smashed the bomb? If so, I didn’t noticed this. This is interesting.
Maybe you’ve got something here.
In all my thoughts about Lost, somehow I never stumbled upon the realization of the ship name representing the whole idea behind the backgammon white/black thing. Jacob brought the Black Rock to the island.. what could it mean if anything.. good thoughts, though. Nice stuff waycurious.
I have been thinking about that scale and the two rocks more and more and the significance of the Black Rock Ship. I did not remember about the rocks by Juliette either. Is it all just a good versus evil thing though. The scales and the fact that Flocke tossed the white one with tipped the scales from evenly balanced to the “dark” side was very interesting….Another thing that had a strange feel to me was when Flocke tossed the rock and explained it as an inside joke. If they were in Jacobs place, Flocke looked as if the rocks/scales had been tampered with or that something surprise him about them. How would he know what was normal in Jacobs place….and I thought that Jacobs main place was at the foot of the statue…so I am starting to think that the cave and the names were not of Jacobs, but were the lair of MIB. I mean he is the one who crossed out Lockes name and if this is Jacob’s list, why is Flocke doing the editing……
and we can’t forget about the white and black stones Jack found on Adam and Eve in the caves they found in “White Rabbit”. Jack took a bag from the pocket of one of the bodies and inside were two stones – one white and one (you guessed it) black. He kept the stones but never mentioned them to anyone – even when Locke asked him what he had found. Funny though – I also never connected the ship name to the black/white theme. How do they manage to get this stuff by us?
I agree w/the caves. SmOcke (Smokie-Locke) is very serpentine … and where ever we know he’s been (‘cept perhaps the cabin) has been in a hole …
