season six, Jack & John, parallels.

I guess because all the information we have about ‘candidates’ comes from Nemisis then it’s difficult to know how much of it is truth and how much of it is in his own self interest. Jacob did visit each of them tho, so I think they will all play a role in stopping Nemisis from getting what he wants. I really enjoy Nemisis in the form of John Locke, he seems very calm and controlled. Very reasonable and charming. I think it creates a real air of menace about him. We know he’s up to something catastrophically terrible, we just dont know what. I think there is definitely some could of rule about the candidates which he is governed by. I dont think he can kill them, just like he couldnt kill Jacob. and I dont think he can leave the island unless its by a candidates permission. He’s clearly using Sawyer for his own purposes. He clearly wants to leave the island, I dont know for what purpose tho, but the idea of the smoke monster loose on the world is terrifying. I think maybe he’s looking for something or someone.

I dont know where everything is heading with this parallel version of events we get in which 815 doesnt crash. I guess tho it will continue to show us the lives of all the characters intertwining, and at some point its going to have to merge with whats happening on island.

I am looking forward to the Jack and Locke island confrontation that will undoubtedly happen at some point. If this is a show about parallels then Jack and John are two of the greatest in the shows story. I think Jack will be pivitol in stopping the new Locke from succeeding, but only because of the lessons he learned from the real John Locke. Locke believed the island was special and needed to be protected. His last communication with Jack was ‘I wish you had believed me’. I hope Jack finally does some good.

I think before we can make better guesses we need to see Richards story, learn about the cabin, what happened to the statue and what happens when you become infected and claimed.
