One Crazy Mother

OK, interesting thoughts since Recon aired, particularly from Kimberly and ObsessedLost (i think those are their usernames!). So I have been reflecting on what they say and from what I have seen and believe.

But one thing thats been bugging me in the series is the following: Is the fact that Aaron has a crazy mother (Claire) actually part of Smokie’s master plan, time loop? In my theories Aaron is Jacob. By forcing Aaron/Jacob to have the same upbringing (crazy mother) as Smokie, does he create a loop that is still being played out since the Oceanic 6 left the island? Ever since they left jack has gone ape and drinking, growing a beard, flying in planes in the hope of time travelling, shouting in airport lots saying “We gotta go back!!!!”

Since the beginning, Season 1, Claire has been told by the fortune teller that noone else should raise her baby. The fortune teller didnt say an Evil person must not raise him, but a good one can. She said NOONE. In what we saw, Kate raised the baby Aaron for a bit on the island, and then taking him off the island as part of the 6, so in fact the prophesy has fulfilled itself. Aaron has been raised by another, and as a result he will have a crazy mother!!! Because she no longer has Aaron, she tips over the edge (what we have seen of Claire in this season).

Of course it is hard to see Smokies final motives (world destruction/escaping the island), but as we know Aaron/Jacob is the only one fighting smokie since the beginning.

So perhaps not only has he killed Jacob (Aaron) physically through stabbing, he has set a course of events that are leading to the destruction of the man himself (jacob/Aaron) right from his birth and creating a different upbringing for Aaron/Jacob.

I sincerely believe that in Windmore’s submarine, in the locked door will be found Aaron.

Another user (I apologise for forgetting, look down the list he posted recently) posted a theory saying Locke and Widmore are in cahoots and that makes further sense. Widmore wants the island. Locke/flocke wants off island. Sounds like a perfect mix to barter with no??? Widmore has also been on the opposing side, and manipulating real Locke all the time, so I agree totally with this suggestion.

Since the beginning the others have been hounding down Claire and Aaron. Why is Aaron so important? Becasue he is Jacob and we will find out why.

I think Jacob has travelled from the future where he is an older Aaron. He is using time travel to outwit the catastrophic world event (link to valenzetti equation) that occurred.

BUT fate/death/Smoke monster/Devil whatever the hell he is, is actually course-correcting through a time loop to create an environment where Jacob (older Aaron) never becomes the man he becomes. He now has a crazy mother who will make his life miserable and thus affect the man he becomes in the future.

But knowing the themes of Fate and Free will, we will see if actually having a crazy mother changes Aaron at all!

Anyway this is all a long shot and far too jumbled and I apologise for this. but it is so because we are missing pieces to the puzzle.

  1. Note that the psychic admitted to Eko that he was a fraud. But we don’t know who made the psychic lie to Claire in order to get her on the Oceanic flight.

  2. Let’s not forget Walt in all that.

Personally I think that Aaron isn’t Jacob but Flock instead.

Flock had a crazy mother and was probably raised by another.
Aaron has a crazy mother was raised by another .

So either Aaron is to Flock as Walt is to Jacob or vice-versa.

I just don’t know how they will manage to close most of these open ends in 8 episodes.

  3. Maybe Aaron is both Jacob AND MIB? Maybe he’s MIB with the crazy mother in this timeline and in the ATL Claire never becomes crazy and Aaron becomes Jacob? I was going to say maybe in ATL Aaron gets adopted eventually and they re-name him Jacob… But this is kind of stupid I hope they don’t bring Aaron back into the show I think he’s a lame character other than the fact that he can poop chocolate lollipops or w/e.

  4. lol its true, he could actually JUST be a baby. Lets wait and see!! But the similiarites and ambiguities relating to both jacob background and Aaron’s current location and general importance are too suspicious.

  5. nacho, i just read this, thanks for the shout out! i do agree with you, as you saw in my comment on the psychic thread, aaron=jacob, but i also thinkg aaron=mib, depending on the two ways he was raised by normal clair vs by another or crazy clair, hanso said the same thing here. i dont really thinkg i fully agree with the idea, i would kinda just prefer it if he was just a baby, but i think he will end up being something important

  6. nachochris, I’m not sure about Aaron turning out to be Jacob, but feel he is an important figure to the story.

The conversation between Nemesis and Kate was quite telling, from the perspective that Kate only returned to ‘the island’ to reunite Claire with Aaron. I have to believe that part of the reason Nemesis told Kate his story about Claire being crazy was, so she changed her mind about reuniting them. The reason for this at present, remains unknown.

On another note, we can’t forget that it was Claire’s father Christian and Nemesis who told Claire that ‘the others’ took Aaron. I do agree that this was to focus Claire’s anger on who they deemed to be ‘the enemy’.

This doesn’t necessarily make what they did a bad thing. Claire underwent the same process as Sayid in the Temple. The big question is, are Claire and Sayid being used/manipulated by Nemesis or, is he attempting to focus and contain their angry behaviour.
