Is Sun dead?

She took a pretty bad fall and was brought round by Ben. Maybe she will become infected? After all, they are supposedly never meant to be together (Sun and Jin). And she went a bit weird afterwards and miles looked at her weirdly. But she had to make a choice and chose Jack/future Jacobs side.

What do you guys think?

  1. I got the feeling she might be infected as well. But I agree she seemed to choose Jack and in the Alt she chose to save Jin and be with him as well.
There is another theory on here right now about Smokie having a fetish for wounds. Maybe this is how the infection slips in: Sayid’s bullet hole, Claire’s injuries from the explosion, Sun’s bump on the head, etc…

  2. I THOUGHT WHEN JACK WAS SPEAKING TO SUN ON THE BEACH IT WASN’T ACTUALLY JACK BUT MIB, THERE WAS SOMETHING DIFFERENT ABOUT HIM, GOD THIS PROGRAMME IS MAKING ME SO PARANOID, I’M EVEN SPOTTING THE NUMBERS EVERYWHERE I GO THESE DAYS, AND TO THINK WHEN IT STARTED I TURNED IT OVER AND SAID THERE’S ANOTHER SHITTY SURVIVOR SERIES ON OUR TVS! 🙂

  3. LOVE IT!

I just wrote a theory about Sun and Jin’s flash sideways(dont know where it ended up?) and the possibility that MIB does infact get off the island. Simply because of what Whitmore said to Jin as he looked at pictures of his daughter, “If that thing masquorading as Lock gets off the island, your Daughter, my Daughter, everybody you love will seast to exist..”and because of the flash sideways being so different from past episodes.

She was also wounded pretty bad in the flash sideways. So I dont know, very interesting idea you have.

I also LOVE the theory about MIB’s obsession with wounds, and that that may be how people become infected. In last nights episode, not-Locke told Jin he should leave the bandages off his leg to air out. Also, very interesting.

  4. prettyheavysoul: Can’t wait to read it… I’m guessing since this ep hasn’t aired in the UK, your post is backed up until it airs there. 🙂 Soon enough!

I really hadn’t been paying much attention to the wounds, what a clear idea! I’ve been focusing so much on the way Flocke holds out his hand and “touch” a la Jacob’s style, I haven’t even thought about the wounds…

I personally don’t think Sun is dead, but this show is so damn strange I wouldn’t be surprised. I thought everyone was just looking at her weird because of her “Jessie Spano freak out” moment. 😉

  5. I’d have to agree with Glaw. I mean Flocke wants to leave the island with the candidates and he has to gain their trust so obviously he has to care about “his people” otherwise they wouldn’t want to join his side in the first place.

  6. Is Sun dead?

I don’t think she’s dead but perhaps she could be infected much like what happened to Sayid and Claire.

What suprised me was that once Sun bumped her head on the wooden tree and became unconscious, why didn’t Flocke pick her up and carry her back to his people?

I mean that was his purpose right? To reunite Sun/Jin together.

So why didn’t he ? hmmm

  7. I don’t think she is infected, but if there is any inclination to her going to die, it’s when she is shot in the alt timeline. This could be foreshadowing or further hammering the point that “whatever happened, happened”. We don’t get to see if she receives proper treatment after the fact, but I feel like they need to start killing off some major characters before the finale. Not that I want it, it’s just the logical progression. Also, Sayid and Jin’s meeting in the freezer was strange. Sayid chose to help Jin, although a little rudely, this could be showing that there still is some good in Sayid. I think he will remain loyal to Flocke, but will help his friends out in a very dramatic and life saving way. Hell, it might even be Jin again.
