MIB gets off the Island?
Written 31st March
ON ISLAND- Whitmore tells Jin, as he is looking at pictures of his daughter on Sun’s camera, that if MIB leaves the Island that everything, “Your Daughter, my Daughter, everybody we know and love will simply seast to exist.”
FLASH SIDEWAYS- Jin and Sun arent married, Jin almost meets his death, and Sun is pregnant but is injured. To top it off, most likely, although it wasnt shown, she loses the baby.
You see where I am going with this? The flash sideways wasnt all happy. Dr. Ben for example in his flash sideways he does a good deed. He cares about the kids he teaches. Which had me thinking that MIB is defeated and never gets off the island. But last night was totally different. I’d love to hear everybodys thoughts on this as I sit here just as confused as ever.

Huh, perhaps the flash sideways literally is MIB leaving the island. Maybe that doesn’t necissarily mean the end of the world like we all think, just the end of a few people’s lives. That makes it sound like it’s going to be a very unepic ending though, so I hope that’s not the case.
When I think about MIB getting off the island or “Going home.” I think back to Jacob’s conversation with Ricardo, the wine bottle, the cork/island, all preventing that “Evil” from entering the real world and its not like that EVIl or MIB is some kind of Nuke or something. Rather, the evil, works its way into people, ah than the infection comes to mind….Maybe if MIB gets off the island, the infection will spread rampent until there is no good left in the world.
What you’re saying makes sense. I’m still not even sure MIB seems like the type to just go into the world and spread an evil infection throughout. Unless he’s pure evil, which he doesn’t appear to be as of yet, I just don’t see his intentions being death upon the entire planet.
I could be a VERY bad judje of character, ’cause I know MIB hasn’t exactly been a saint either. But until I’m convinced on these two guys’ true intentions, I have no idea what to think anymore.
