What happened to Rose and Bernard?

Hello guys!
I am a huge Portuguese fan of Lost and I regularly read many theories posted on this site. Most of the theories are amazing, which shows that the fans of Lost have great minds.
This will be my first post and it won’t be a theory (maybe next time).
I have a question that has puzzled me for some time…. what happened to Rose and Bernard?
Did they died from the time travel sickness? If so, were they the skeletons in the cave?
Are they hiding from everyone in order to live their love far from trouble?
I hope I’m not asking something that has already been answered before, if so I apologize.

i think you are right with the hiding away part. i can’t remember exactly, but i thought they had stayed at the beach with vincent, to get away from the impending war as they did not see any need to get involved. i think rose said something along the lines of, they were happy they found each other, they dont need to have anything else, and they didnt want to get off the island.

Last season, I think, was the last we heard of them. It looked like a happy ending for them, some sort of closure. They didn’t want to always be running through the jungle, so they settled on that little cabin on the beach, happy with whatever they could get.
There are many theories pointing out they could be Adam&Eve (the skeletons in the cave from season 1). You should check them out.

You’re right about the skeletons in the cave, I’ve already read some theories about it. Anyways, I always thought they (especially Rose) could possibly have a major role in the series finale.

The writers didn’t forget about Rose&Bernard, we got to see them in the premiere “LAX”, but I think we just don’t have enough time (episodes) to give them a chance to be more involved in the story. Besides, they have always been secondary characters, and Rose has even appeared in that Locke-centric episode this season.
(When I said we had last seen them last season, I was obviously wrong, I had forgotten about these recent appearences).

I just read your question entitled “How do the Hostiles travel to and out of the Island pre-Purge?” and I think it’s awesome. I had thought of that when I first saw the episode showing the visit of “Ricardus” to young Locke but with time I completely forgot . Well seen, really.
It’s interesting that we’re so close to the end (unfortunately :() and that question is still unsolved… any new idea about that?
By the way, I too think that Vincent will reappear. Maybe Walt will too but I doubt about this latter because the actor is way too grown up to perform the character. We’ll see.

That question was posted so long ago I almost forgot about it. lol
But if you think of everything that has happened so far, that seems almost insignificant now, doesn’t it? Now, I don’t believe we’ll ever get an answer to that question of mine.
But I guess it’s one of those things that will be left off to our imagination then (:
We can always wonder…
As for Walt, I might get mad if he doesn’ have some sort of role this season! The same goes for Aaron.

I think you’re right oompaloompa, most of the mysteries will not be answered. I think maybe the writers will do some sort of special episode to explain the major mysteries. At least i hope so.
