Possible Hint Jacob is Evil

In Ab Aeterno, as the Black Rock is approaching the island during the storm, one of the slaves looks outside and reports back to Richard: “The Devil guards this island.”
The writers are known to use such ruses as tools of foreshadowing, and I think this adds possible weight to the “Jacob is bad” theory, which I’ve been clinging to since Season 4 and really REALLY hope is true…althought it’s seeming increasingly less likely.
So, is Jacob the ‘Devil’ that guards the island? Or do I just need to learn to let go?
well didnt reausseau say that the smoke monster was a security system for the island? if you add that clue, than smokie is the devil guarding the island.
I agree with you, since season 4 alot of us have been questioning if Jacob is really good or not. I don’t think the writers would make the big twist at the end be something that 75% of us have thought way back in season 4.
So, to your question. I say let it go. I will if you will.
In my mind, It can’t be that or aliens. Anything else I’m fine with. We have already accepted time travel, people healing, and coming back to life. You throw aliens in there or something we all saw coming 2-3 seasons ago, I think that would blow.
I think he just mistook the statue for the devil, which was used by the writers to introduce the origins Richard’s belief that the island is hell. But it definately could be some kind of hint.
