What the heck is up with Desmond in both timelines?!?!?!?!

Also does anyone have any idea what the song on previews for next week might mean?
I recognize it from the older Charlie and the Chocolate Factory… But it’s probably something else… I just thought I’d point it out… Lol…

My sister got me started on the show. She now hates it with a firey passion and is ready to punch me in the face anytime I mention it. I guess she's not cool enough for it. My favorite characters are Sawyer, Hurley, Charlie, and Desmond.

I noticed that too. I bet it means nothing though. ABC does a better job at leading us towards a dead end than the writers do.
