hi to everyone, first post here, big fan of the show and this site.

after watching the last episode a few times, reading across the web different theories and discusions, i would like to share a few thoughts.

i believe mother was there on her own, for a long time. she was probably calling candidates to the island but it turns out, that they always come, fight, corrupt etc. so maybe she had an idea to bring a candidate unborn, to manipulate from the start of his life. but it turn out that there where twins.

here i have to agree with some people that mother is smokie. she is way too dark and manipulative. when jacobs bro killed her, i believe that the knife is not special, but the fact that the next candidate in line killed the curent protector. i mean, bro is the special one, she said so. he was the candidate.

this raises a question of how ben killed jacob?

when she took both of them to the source, bro was really overtaken by the light, while poor jacob stood there watching at the cave going WTF is this. that is why she says all that nonsense about a little bit of light in every person. because bro can feel what is special about it while jacob needed a bed time story to believe it. and on top of that, she didnt want to say, that bro is the one,  she said one of u two.

i also believe that jacob and bro CAN hurt each other. One of the many lies that mother has told.
on the other hand, when she gave that cup of wine to jacob, she whispered something, that made him infact immortal.
Bro got his immortality (worse than death) from “that piss-warm cave of infinite golden light “  (Vozzek69, u crack me up so much).
and one more thing, i believe that the loophole was to bring a candidate back in a wooden box. i mean christian was brought there in a wooden box, but was never a candidate (i think), so bro used his body and thats it. only when locke was brought back, the loophole was achieved.
