…’cuz that’d be ridiculous.

Just have to tip my hat to Sawyer for the best line of the night.

Sawyer: “Whadda you need a boat for? Can’t you just turn into smoke and fly your ass over the water?”

Locke: “Do you think that if I could do that I would still be on this island?”

Sawyer: “No…’cuz that’d be ridiculous.”

I love this interaction just for the sarcasm – but also, Locke confirmed that he can’t cross water as smoke – but it seems he can cross it in a boat as a man.

as for LOST, I'm a little more obsessed than the average bear - polar that is.

  1. My favourite line was when Sun hit her head.

Miles: So she hits her head and forgets english? Are we supposed to buy that?

Frank: Asks the man who communes with the dead

  2. DeadPakistaniOnYourCouch: I loved that line too! I’m just so tense and amped-up when I watch LOST, that those one-liners seem hysterical! Especially when one of the characters points out something that would normally be preposterous, but is not so much on the island.

  3. I’m with ilie on this one,

I didn’t understand the humor involved with what Sawyer was sayin’. Was he just referring to how ridiculous a “smokie” is in the first place? Okay.

I enjoyed the “Don’t talk about bacon.” Strictly because I thought Frank was on his way to sticking up for Hurley. As in “Don’t talk….about Hurley that way.” I was wrong those. Frank needs bacon.

  4. both those lines are great. it happens a lot on the theory site, we get so caught up on some detail that doesn’t make sense to us, while forgetting that there is time travel and smoke monsters, etc. etc. So what makes sense to us in the real world might not add up the same there.

  5. I got it! I thought ‘cos that would be ridiculous’ was classic – a bit like Frank saying ‘weirdest damn show I’ve ever been in’ when they were digging the grave on the beach. I may have misquoted that – can anyone remember that line?
