The world has a way of course correcting- Alt Timeline deaths?

I remember the episode where Eloise Hawking told Desmond  that the universe has a way of course correcting, that if you were to save someone who was supposed to die, they would eventually die anyway (The guy with red shoes who got crushed by a scaffolding, Charlie). So what about all the people who are now alive because the plane didn’t crash? Wouldn’t that mean all those people going to die somehow? Eko, Ana Lucia, Libby, Boone, The warden, charlie, that teacher who got blown up by dynamite, Locke (Please not Locke ;o ) etc?
