Knowledge in use off island

If for instance Daniel Faraday with all his knowledge of time travel, conscience travel etc were to board that submarine and use his knowledge in the ‘real world’ so to speak. Would the “what happened will happen” still stand? could he influence things outside of the bubble so to speak?

  1. Uhm what? :P. The rule is, what happened happened. This means that whatever knowledge of “the past” he uses to change things in his “Past-future”, well…he’s already done it. It happened that way the first and only time. No loops, no do-overs. This is if you believe in the “You can’t change the past” theory.

  2. bigdaveg, I do think Faraday was attempting to do something on the outside world, with Theresa Spencer, and it went awry.

Some have stated they believe his experiments were similar to that of Eloise, the rat. I doubt Faraday would have attempted this experiment again. However, he could have tried something else which failed miserably.

As for Faraday, I do think he might be working on something, but if you caught Sawyer’s statement about him; “He’s gone”. I interpreted that to mean, ‘mentally gone’.

I have the feeling, Sawyer has him neatly tucked away from prying eyes, and any opportunity of scaring a young Charlotte! lol

  3. I figured it meant Daniel went native. First to avoid Charlotte and any possibility of being the weird scary guy who warns her away from the island. Second to possibly make contact with Richard (for reasons I do not yet fully understand). In the season opener I had a gut feeling that he was not supposed to be there. That he was infiltrating the Orchid station.
