Well, it’s funny that he changes clothes from nicer, modern clothing to older looking, worn out rags. The Others do the same thing. It’s a clue. To what, I do not know…
I can buy him removing his suit jacket and tie. He is still wearing a bottoned up shirt but I did not notice if the original is white or the light blue one he is wearing in Jacob’s cabin and in the Wheel chamber with Locke. The costume department were very careful about the tennis shoes though. In the Wheel chamber he IS wearing tennis shoes, isn’t he? He is with Vincent in the mobisode. Gotta check again.
I think the clothes change is the biggest sign that Christian has come back to life since crash landing on the island. I think his role is to act as a sort of precendent for Locke’s return, if that makes sense.
Christian’s death is quite a mystery still and the parallels with Locke are huge in my opinion.
So anyway to answer the question I think the clothes prove Christian truely has come back to life.
Andre7, to answer your question when he is in the chamber with Locke I’m 99 percent sure that he is wearing a pair of brown shoes. Also pretty sure he is wearing a white shirt with his suit when Jack sees him. My own opinon is that when Jack sees him it is simply his subconscious or the island messing with him, and that’s why he is wearing what Jack dressed him in. When we see him in other clothes talking to other people, I believe this is truly Christian reborn.

Funny, Locke came fully equiped with ‘other’s clothes’. I know he was going on a walkabout, but he blends right in with the others suspiciously easy.
Good catch, damuse09! And good point, AES.
