Dharma Wheel
I’m sure that this has probably been mentioned before but I wasn’t positive so I thought I’d post it anyways. I was looking up the term Dharma last night and came across the Dharma Wheel which looks exactly like the FDW. With Dharma being a Buddhist term and since everyone believes there are no coincidences on Lost I’m guessing that this is no coincidence either. In one of the articles I was reading they referred to the hub of the wheel as the Vinaya the spokes as the Abhidharma and the rim as the Sutra basket. Another part of the article read as follows:
“To correlate this with the three turnings: the hub is like the first turning; the rim is like the second turning; and the spokes are like the third turning. When you have all three parts at the same time, you have the wheel of the Dharma. The Buddha taught many teachings, but no single one can be considered the entire Wheel of Dharma, only all together are they the Wheel of Dharma. ”
Basically what I’m getting at with this post is that the FDW has been turned twice

looked it up and the wheel is pretty much exactly like the one in lost.. You might be on to something…Dharma also means higher truth or ultimate reality of the universe…. But this wheel was on the island long before dharma
Also just food for thought Buddhism speaks about an eightfold path which is why the dharma wheel has eight spokes and all the dharma symbols from lost have eight sides to them.
It would make sense that it would need to be turned one more time in order for the alignment of the timelines that the Losties are in to connect. This is a good support as to the deeper connections for those of us who look for them.
