When exactly are we?
Hi folks,
This is my first time on the site…I’ve been reading all your theories/questions for some time and thought it’s about time I got involved! The question I have is related to when Desmond turned the key in the hatch. Do we have any idea where/when the losties went after that?? We know that when the strange noise and the blinding light comes, it means the islanders travel through space time but I’m trying to work out whether they went backwards or forwards in time. Were there any significant changes on the island immediately after the key was turned? If the key wasn’t turned and the islanders didn’t travel, the island could be a very different place indeed! However, we all know that EVERYTHING happans for a reason on Lost .
Any thoughts?

FelixPang, I think this is a very relevant question!
I suspect when the Swan station blew up, time did change on ‘the island’, even if only slightly. I am unsure of what direction it moved. Undoubtedly, it did, though.
Maybe time went 20 minutes in the future. It could explain why the doctor washed up on shore before he died on the boat. And why a rocket hit the beach before we see it being sent.
