Half to the past, half to the future
After watching S05E06, I thought that maybe Sayid, Sun and Locke went to the future. The original flight was broken in two pieces: one with some survivors (Jack, Kate, Hurley, etc) and one with others survivors (Ana Lucía, Bernard, Libbie, etc).
What it this new plane broke in two different pieces? It seems that in the future will be rests from the Ajira flight, that were not before… So some people from Ajira will arrive after the Oceanic crash…
Having this in mind, the new problem would be to meet each others on the same timeline…
If I’m correct, when do you think Ben will be? I bet in the future, because he couldn’t coexist with himself…
Great theory! I like the idea of the passengers separated in time. I don’t believe the plane crashed as much as the passengers were sucked out in a time flash. This could be interesting to see events play out and how they would meet up. I agree that Ben in this scenario ,would end up in the future or present time on the island.

Of course if everyone did flash off the plane the plane would have had to crash…I am interested to see if there is a crash or not….

I think you’re right about Ben, not being able to be in the same time zone.
I am fairly sure where we see Jin is in the 70’s, so it’s plausible.
Locke already knew about not coming into contact with himself, in a previous time frame, having seen the video of the 2 bunnies in the Orchid.
I think ‘time’ is making sure the other ‘losties’ don’t bump into themselves, by placing them in a different time flash.
Ben could be, in a completely different time, or in the 70’s as he was in the past. The same rules, may not apply to him.
It may take some time, before Sun, Sayid, and their new companions to catch up to Jack, Kate and Hurley, before all of ‘the losties’ are reunited.
