Horace and his cabin?

Does anyone have any idea or a guess as to why Horace built a wooden cabin away from the Dhama camp sometime between 1974 and the Purge??

We know he didn’t leave the camp, not all together at least, as we know he died on a bench on the Dhama village.

the only thing i can think of that isn’t ridiculous is that it was like a holiday home? that’s boring though!!!!

  1. Is was a boring holiday home… at least that’s what he told Locke in the dream. He was building it as a getaway for him and “The Missus”…

  2. You may want to check out a discussion under the title ‘Telephone Booth’. There were some interesting exchanges about why Horace may have built the cabin…

  3. After re-watching LaFleur I had a whole new line of thinking to explore with Horace. I am beginning to think this little story has more to it.

I wrote a theory about it (“Horace Goodspeed+The Truce…)and then realized you had this question out there, too. I think we’re maybe being fed a line…
