The War that’s coming??

Just had a thought. If young Ben does die (IMO this is the first time around) maybe it was Widmore that got Sayid to the island with a high probabilty that Sayid would run into young Ben and do some harm, thus Widmore never gets ousted from the island and remains leader.

Maybe Widmore & Ben are gathering the pawns for the the war, the war being Widmore is trying to kill young Ben so he remains leader and Ben will try to preserve the his young self so he becomes the leader.

Don’t go mental at me people im just trying to think outside of the box, however feel free to give constructive critiscism and/or back me up (;-))

  1. I didn’t say that… I believe this is the first and only time around. I’m in the “anti-timeloop” club.

I don’t think Ben will die because I’m also in the “immutable timeline club”.

  2. how old is penny? if she’s older than 28 in 2005, then wouldn’t that mean she’d have to been born on the island? or that widmore left before 1977?

i’m struggling to get my head around this???

    great post though.

  3. Didn’t Horace say that all women 2 weeks before they’re due are taken off island by the submarine.

Thats why Ethan is special (sort of) he was the last child to be born on the island.

  4. Good post but I think things have already changed due to the fact that the present barracks dont even look like The Others ever lived there. I think now due to whats goin on in 77 Dharma wipes out The Others. Ben never joins them since Sayid pops him. But that leaves the question what is the war n who are the participants?

  5. But remember thats the Dharma with the sub. I think the others have never been able to have kids on the island but Dharma people could just by the way Ethans mum(sorry i forget her name) said about having to keep an eye open when sleeping with Sayid around because of their child…..I think they have always been the type to pinch the babies and bring them up as there own which is why the Dharma people go off the island to have children to prevent this. I think Widmore may have kidnapped Penny from the Dharma people to be honest….maybe?

  6. I do think that it’s quite possible that Widmore helped to put Sayid on that plane, but it’s also possible that it was Ben’s doing… he is just sick and twisted enough to do that. Either way, I do think it’s possible that Sayid’s shooting Ben will be misunderstood as a call to war by the Dharmas who will begin the Purge.

  7. gaz – refer to my theory called “Revealing Penelope Widmore”.

My problem with Widmore getting Sayid to the island is that Ilana seems to know nothing. Would Widmore not want an informed employee on the island, not one that mysteriously ends up there? Or is his only priority that Sayid gets there as he shoots Ben?
