Don’t know if this observation has been made before, but in all of the scenes with Jacob off the island he is repeatedly shown to touch each person in some way.

And did you notice that he did NOT touch Ilana? Not only did he not touch her… he was wearing GLOVES to ASSURE that 9he wouldn’t touch her! I think he wears gloves around to make sure he doesn’t touch people he isn’t supposed to.
