I believe that although there is a spiritual side to this story, that the writers will not let it become wholly that. The fan base, and many people in general are not interested in some spiritual story. The ‘War’ that follows will be amongst men. The stakes will be the very highest. And no VooDoo BS will decide the fate of everyone. In the end, clever men will win.
I know the show focuses on a battle each character has ‘within himself,’ but I do not think the characters are one person. I really don’t see a “war” being fought on two fronts on behalf of one man.
But again… Millions have fought and died against others who believe in teh same God, just different interpretations
