Charlie’s Ring/Dexter Stratton

i searched the site and did not find this…so i’m going to pose a question.
what if dexter stratton, charlies great-grandfather on his mother’s side, was
actually on the black rock? what if all of our losties are the descendents of people
who have been to the island ? a select group and their descendants chosen-‘touched’-
to play out this little (backgammon) game between Jacob and his counterpart…remember,
‘they come, they fight, they destroy, they corrupt…it always ends the same.’ generations of a select group playing out this game-over and over and over again.

I LOVE this show! my favorite characters-in no particular order: Hurley; Locke; Sayid; and of course, Vincent-(if he doesn't make it to the end-there will be anarchy!) I am soooo over: Jack-'does this guy ever NOT cry?' Shepherd (so annoying)...Kate 'let me leave a trail of destruction if i don't get my way' Austen; 'i'm as smart and einstein' Radzinsky (obviously not smart enough to keep your brains OFF of the ceiling); Anna 'big chip on my shoulder' Lucia (see ya!)

  1. That’s a very interesting concept. Now I am curious to what Charlie actually says about the ring, but I am pretty sure it would be in the season 3 finale, when Charlie is making his ‘greatest hits’ list.

I read another post where someone was talking about the ring being the Star of David, DS = Star of David, but i cannot remember where they went with this, also, sorry I can’t cite the posters name.

  2. if it was his great grandfather, then he would’ve been too young to be on the black rock. the black rock is something like 300 or 500 years old I think because steam ships were introduced sometime in the 1800s, when Dexter Stratton would’ve been alive.
