Unstuck in time, existentialism, the color purple
Off-island time jumps we’ve include Eloise, Minkowski, and Desmond. THEY always stayed in same time.
On-island, Daniel and John ‘disappeared’ to those who weren’t in D/J’s natural timeline.
Maybe that’s what happens on/to the island.
Maybe the island itself is like Daniel’s time machine and it’s not actually in the losties timeline.

In the lab a purple ray ‘unsticks’ Eloise in time. What if the Failsafe Key event did, too – and the losties were moved in time then but didn’t know it (yeah, I don’t know about all their stuff – but if you popped through time it would ‘make it all go away’).
Despite it’s causing an earthquake and being detected as far away as Antartica … a strange place for Penny to look btw, the Others aren’t freaked out by it. It’s just “an anomaly’ ‘the sky turning purple’ or an ‘electromagnetic pulse’, like it’s kinda’ normal – PLUS Ben knows how to move the island and that you can’t come back once you do (perhaps because it and not you is unstuck in time).
The purple flash is related to dispersment of the electromagnatism
Juliette’s flash is white … Aljira 315’s was white and no one remembered crashing … did they come in w/different bearings AND we know they aren’t ‘consious’ in the same time (nor are we certain in what time John, Sun, etc. actual ARE ) – or are they RETURNED to where everything should be?
So, a lot of this could be related to ‘frame of reference’ and existentialsim. Does what ever happened happen when it’s consciousness? (Which could be determined simply if Daniel decided to NOT teach Eloise to run the maze after she came ‘back’ … ‘back – isn’t that where the Losties had to go?)
Still wondering – would you AGE when you’re unstuck in time? Clearly you can live there for at least 3 years. (This relates to Richard and Sawyer, etc.). Could Juliette/Jughead be responsible for the bad pregancies (Ethan b. just before) – pregnancies OK until baby has ‘conciousness’ then there’s an autoimmune response? [Claire’s baby came in at time of failsafe key time stick/unstick.]
