Fake Robert (Rousseau’s husband) and Fake Locke

Fake Robert is shot by Rousseau, and he immediately collapses on the floor and dies.
Fake Locke is shot by Bram and co., and the bullet simply ricochet off him.

Isn’t this strange?

  1. I have two theories:

FRobert died because he wasn’t the MIB, just “sick” like her team.

MIB supposedly became Flocke when Dead Locke ‘crashes’ onto the island. This mysterious process wasn’t the same with FRobert; there wasn’t a Dead Robert in the first place.

  2. I think the term ‘sick’ really does refer to the Smoke Monster’s inhabitation/recreation of people’s bodies. I believe Rousseau coined the term because she didn’t know how else to describe her changed team.
In terms of Robert being dead/not dead: I’m fairly certain that once her team went into the Temple.. they didn’t come out. The Smoke Monster killed them and then replicated them in order to wreak havoc. The question is – can the Smoke Monster replicate more than one dead person at a time? It would certainly help the theory that Jacob’s appearance to Hurley was in fact the Smoke Monster.
