Just Something Minor
Hey all. Â I’ve been reading the theories on this site for quite some time and while I would never presume to postulate to be as good at theorizing as most of you, I did notice something small in LA X that I thought might be worth sharing. Â It’s probably not a huge deal and I’m so sorry if someone has already said this (it’s hard to keep up with all the theories and accompanying comments) but here goes.
We saw the scene with Sun & Jin at the airport in the flash sideways where Jin gets busted for having all that extra cash and Sun does nothing to come to his aid stating that she doesn’t speak English. Â I noticed that the woman agent calls her by a different last name and calls her “Miss”. Â I then got to thinking that since everyone’s realities seem to be just a bit off in the flash sideways that maybe it is the case that she and Jin are NOT married in this different timeline.
If that is the case, she never needed to learn English so that she could escape from Jin when the chance came up and so she really was truthful to the agent when she said she didn’t understand her.
When I started to think that this might be the case, I went back to where Sun and Jin are talking about Rose & Bernard on the plane and you can just barely tell, but I am pretty sure that she’s not wearing a ring.
If so, makes me wonder why they are traveling together and why he still tells her to button her sweater – but again…not as earth shattering as the smoke monster or what everyone’s purpose is, so I’m going to try not to lose sleep over it.
It’s confirmed on the wiki sites with the summary that they are not married in the ALT. Probably still dating, or maybe Jin has more authority in the organization. Considering she’s the boss’s daughter, she could be a bit of a trophy for his work

I completely didn’t pick up on any of that when I watched it. Good find. I believe that we will find that they all have slightly different pasts, but I missed this.
I was just thinking that when she was planning to leave him at the airport that she had her passport made out as Ms Paik, cause she never intended to get on the plane with him. If there was no island, maybe there was no Jacob to bless their wedding and their union.
Its been said that the wiki sites arent always accurate, but we shall see if they are married or not.
