Sodom and gommorah principle

Really A quick suggestion. The principle in the bible of the aforementioned is that unless 10 decent people can be found, living without sin. God will destroy these towns. Yes it’s bible.. Ish. But this could be the case in lost. Initially god says 50 people, then relents to 40… And so down to 10.
Could this be the role of Jacob and mib. He wants to destroy them to go home???

Any ideas

  1. I have no idea how this is going to relate but I am currently looking for a Bible story that might (I Think its Bible) An wondering if anyone can help & since you just happen to have this post I thought i’d ask you an its been awhile since Ive had to remember this so bear with me.

Its a story with God (or is it Jesus IDK) & the Devil, it has something to do with a man that is rich & prosper an has a great life on earth but the devil decides to pretty much play a game with God, telling him that the only reason this man loves & worships you is because all that you have blessed him with (Money, land, a family, & etc etc) & if god started to punish this man & take all that he has given him then the man would surely hate god & not worship him.

God agrees & one by one he starts to take his riches & pretty much make this mans life a living hell until the man is left with nothing & I totally forgot if the man is loyal to God still but I think in the end he is please help anybody. I would like to know the mans name…?

  2. His name was Job. He was a very prosperous man that feared God. Satan wager that if he instills enough suffering on him he would curse God, but Job never did. In the end God rewarded Job for his fidelity

  3. Ahh Thank you so much skipdrocer, I was looking for it all over but couldnt seem to find the story.

I am most likely going to write a theory on the little similarities between the story of Job & the similarities between Ben.

Something about the ending of season 5 made me remember that story & the way Flocke was manipulating or influencing Ben.
