Ahhh… The Memories…

This is really starting to bug me, but has anyone else noticed that some of the events in Season 6 mirror past events? It seems to me that the writers are trying to make it a version of those season finales where they show the special events of past seasons. The only example I can think of the series finale of Lizzie McGuire with the yearbook, but I’m not sure many of you watched that. So here are examples to help explain what I mean:

Juliet’s death: ” I have to tell you something, it’s really really important” *die*
Boone’s death: “Tell Shannon…Tell Shannon…” *die*

Sayid is dead and Jack’s trying to bring him back to life Kate’s screaming at him in the background that he’s gone.
Charlie isn’t breathing Jack is trying to save him and Kate’s screaming at him in the background that he’s gone.

Sawyer throws an engagement ring in to the ocean.
Desmond throws an engagement ring in to a body of water.

I think there were 1 or 2 more examples I just can’t remember them right now.
So what do you think? I could just be reaching for nothing and all of these instances could just be coincidences but I’m not entirely sure.

*Sidenote* I don’t know about you guys but when Sawyer and Kate were on the pier and Sawyer was crying, with his quivering lip, about Juliet I started sobbing. That was the saddest moment in Lost history, in my opinion.

My sister got me started on the show. She now hates it with a firey passion and is ready to punch me in the face anytime I mention it. I guess she's not cool enough for it. My favorite characters are Sawyer, Hurley, Charlie, and Desmond.

  1. It’s not just the things on island that seem like they are replaying themselves but the stuff off island, too.
Kate being there when Clare goes into labor.
    Christians body missing.
Everything off island seems to have a dream like quality about it.

  2. Excellent Cookies Galore:

Can I add one to your mix??

Locke and Sawyer etc go to the black rock to get dynamite. They find Lockes Dad. But Locke does not kill him!! He tells/lets Sawyer do it!!!

Then in Season 5 finale, Locke does not kill Jacob! He lets Ben do it!

But what else can we find and what does it point to?
