John & Helen’s Wedding
When John & Helen were discussing their wedding, he told they should do it Vegas style. She said no, so her parents and his father could be there. She couldn’t have been talking about Anthony Cooper. Helen HATED him, and he put his son in the wheelchair. Who do we think his father is?
If you looked closely at Locke’s desk (before Randy fired him) you can see a picture of Cooper & Locke out hunthing together. She was talking about Cooper!
Locke & Cooper must have a good relationship and Locke became paralyzed some other way.
Exactly! he wasn’t paralyzed by his father in this time line, so apparently more is different hear than we first expected.
Ditto.
Also, since it wasn’t October yet, the sonagram MUST be either a typo or the expected delivery, not the date of that day!
Why do you assume that since Helen hated Cooper in the original timeline that she would hate him in this timeline? Hurley thought he was completely unlucky in the first timeline and now thinks that he is the luckiest man in the world. This timeline is definitely more different than we can know right now.

I believe your right – there are many things different in the alt timeline we just aren’t aware of yet.
I’m guessing that the date on Claire’s ultrasound is a due date – in light of the fact that the October Wedding is in the future. That would make sense, since Claire said she is 36 weeks along – 1 month away from due date – which would make the due date 10/22.
The writers like to rease us.
In the original seasons of Lost leading up to the episode where we finally see Locke thrown out the window, we are shown any number of incidents in which Locke could have lost the use of his legs.
When he chases his mother through the parking lot of WalMart (or whatever) he gets hit by a car and just rolls off the hood and gets back up.
What is to say that in this time line he doesn’t get hit differently and become paralyzed?
What is to say that in this time line Cooper doesn’t get caught in one of his schemes, serve time in prison and come to a realization about his life, his son, etc. and sincerely try to connect with John?
What it seems like they might do is NOT explain how the the alt timeline changes came to be. They had said it was going to be linear storytelling and also it would probably require alot of explaining for everything. Especially if the two stories start to effect or converge with each other.
I guess we have to assume that Jacob and possibly smokie have had no influences or pushes in the losties lives in the alt timeline so therefore complete life choices and scenarios have changed
Or perhaps in this time line, Cooper said that he was sorry and he was forgiven. 😉
