Water bottle + Dodgy dynamite = BOOM!!
I was reading Ilana’s character profile on Lostpedia and although I watched it on screen, only reading it was interesting:
“she filled her bag with bottles of water, and set her bag containing the dynamite firmly on the ground. The dynamite immediately exploded, obliterating Ilana”
It was funny (cynically/ironically not because I like people blowing up!) because it seems to foreshadow and even reflect things we have seen earlier in the series.
The bottles of water represent Jacob/White and the dynamite represents blackness/MIB/Black.
Smokie cant fly over water (as proved when Sawyer asks Locke why he just doesnt fly there!). Also Hurley does not want the plane blown up.
And we know ashes/gun powder have been used to trap the monster as well before.
Anyway, there is no MEGA theory created out of this, but just thought I would share this.
By combining water and the dynamite, there was a huge explosion. This could be a sign of the meeting between two forces on the island.
Any views on this?
Just another example of the great metaphorical writing the Lost team weave into their screenplays.
