Why the show ends on the 23rd, Gives away who the Candidate is
The Creators of the show wanted the finale to be on the 23. Why??? Well… Going back to the Lighthouse episode, Hurley wanted to set the Lighthouse dial to 108. Jack did not as he saw his name sided by the number 23. The shows specific Finale date gives away the ending. Jack is clearly the the one who takes Jacob’s place. I wish they weren’t so obvious about it, 6 years of mind boggling gone straight to the obvious ending. Im sure there is more to find out, best show ever, and I cant wait to see this baby end.
Sayid told Jack, it has to be you two episodes ago. And come on, who else would it be. I’m not so sure there be the need for a candidate to take over the job of Jacob anyway. I think we are going to get THE END.
I think it is only a slight exaggeration that the finale will be SO FINAL, that life on earth in real life will also cease to exist.
Okay, one I agree with the above comment about, well, duh, of course it is going to be Jack, it has always been Jack ( much to my dismay, but he truly is the only one who has come full circle in character development). But there is nothing mysterious or have anything to do with why it ends on may 23rd. They moved lost to tuesdays because they had a comedy block they didnt want to break for a show that was in its last season and also. Also they finale couldnt have been on (especially for 2 and 1/2 hours plus 2 hour preshow on a regular day, and they didnt want to have to compete because here in the states nothing is really ever on sunday nights worth watching and they are charging 900,000 dollars per 30 second commercial) not to mention that the next tuesday in the states would be the dancing with the stars two hour finale (its a hit here and they plan on many more seasons and they also get more viewers (i am sad, ashamed and disappointed to say)than on consistent baisis, it just happened to fall on the 23rd, just as the first tuesday in february fell on ground hog’s day.
